I've been dealing with dating sites for almost 10 years now, and I have found one actual datable person in all that time -- but she's definitely worth it. My experience, though, is you have to slog through a lot of liars and phonies and scammers and spammers and some of the shallowest and most insensitive and illiterate people in the world to get to somebody decent. Most of the people I've encountered on dating sites have IQs lower than the local speed limit. It takes time and patience, and an ability to recognize the red flags. But anything is possible....there are people who have met the "right one" here, too, so you never know.... |

You know, sometimes I think it is a waste of time, and then I don't. I met someone on another site, and have been out a few times. First date in a while. Have met a few other ppl on this site as well. Mostly have made lots of friends on here. As far as finding 'THE ONE". Who knows, if that will happen. Just have fun in the process. Enjoy life. Things take time to happen, Be patient.

the way i look at this on-line dating thing is ..i just get in here and post i really dont worry about putting myself out there notice no pic i basically come and go as i please and talk to who ever about what ever throw in a little joke or two get an occasional e-mail piss someone off everyone once in a while add a little witticism every now and again and there on line dating for me ..have i met anyone..no do i care ..not really ..i dont sweat the small stuff ..

 still don't know what I'm doing on here...is this really worth all the effort or just one big waste of time & energy??? I'm beginning to think I'm just wasting time going from site to site typing & searching & nothing ever happening other than alot of typing & looking...I could do this for 20+ years or better & probably see the same results. What do you think???   just give up then |
