I'm trying to teach myself keyboard.

I'd like to learn guitar.

That's cool. I was fortunate enough start playing bass at age 12 and learned how to play by ear first rather than read music. I can read a little bit but don't really have the patience to sit down and figure a piece out since playing by ear comes so naturally. I have a pic of 2 of my basses on my page. Im a lefty

Yeah, I played trumpet in middle school for a little. I can still read sheet music, kinda. I need to freshen up on it though. Playing by ear is easier for me as well. I just have a hard time with the timing LOL.

i would sugest gooling 5.1 and midi sound card reviews

and go from there

there are a lot of them out there

you could also go to newegg or tiger direct and search sound cards and read the reviews there

those may or not be accurite as you do not really know the expertise of the user

but it may be an insight on the ease of use

good luck
