Debbie, sometimes I have that feeling, too. I just think that "psychic" is an advanced sense of intuition. People can logically figure out some things, but what we call "psychic" can figure out things more clearly and more distant.

the part that really scared me was when this figure (who is my grandad by the way, pushed me really hard onto the sofa. my grandad was a alcholic, thats why we could smell stale bear.

another time, i saw something at my cousins, and i told my mom, and she looked scared, and it was the tenth anniversary of her death. creepy

other things have happened to me to, but im not saying on here because people just wouldnt believe me. my cousin looked like a ghost.

I really have no explanation or theory for ghosts…I'm more inclined to believe the paranormal on this one.

I dont know, but some of the things that have happened, just cannot be explained, so theres defintly something after death.

My thoughts exactly. That's the only reason I believe in ANY type of afterlife.

i went to my grandparents house right after graduation,it was about 2 nights being there and the last night it was about 3 in the morning,i woke up and flipped myself over,i looked over to the window and there was a figure of a little girl.I got up slowly then ran to turn on the light and there was nothing there.

Could have been a hypnagogiac (sp?) hallucination; it is more common to have heard sounds than to have seen things.
The way it works is quite complex; it goes hand-in-hand with false awakenings and night terrors (nightmares and dreams where you are in a familiar environment ie: your work, and something happens but its SO realistic that you dont think "am I dreaming".

Im not saying that you dreamed it, just giving some background info because in both cases its all to to with brainwave activity.

Some say that the 'light at the end of the tunnel' seen by those passing over is a hypnagogiac hallucination.

So the fact that you had JUST woken up plays TOWARDS hypnagogia because when you are sleeping you are either in a theta or delta state (very low freq. brainwaves).
Studies have shown that there is a increase of these brainwaves in those that have had hallucinations both auditorial and visual.
Theta is STRONGLY associated with creativity in the mind.

I myself have heard my parents call out to me in the middle of the night just before I was about to fall asleep.. hypnagogia.
I have only had 1 night terror. Not something Id like to revisit.

Having said allll this I reckon its way to fast to jump to paranormal activity since you were in fact in a state where your mind was likley to play tricks on you via hypnagogia.

That just adds to the evidence of brianwave induced illusions.

I thought i was having nightmires, but they were night terrors. i had to see a doctor as they were so bad, i would wake up screaming, shacking and crying most nights. It got to the stage where i was to scared to go to sleep at night. They did put me on medication which did stop them, i dont take it anymore, i dont get night terrors very often anymore, but they really arnt pleasant. ive died so many times in my dreams, ive saw my own gravestone, ive been murdered, the list is endless.

ive just remembereed something else.

I was at my cousins flat (which has been knocked down now)

and my cousin and her little girl went out to the shops, so i did the washing up. as i was washing up a cup, i had a really bad feeling and i dropped the cup and it smashed. a few seconds later i heard my cousin scream, i ran outside, (her flat was directly next to 2 flights of concrete stairs), her little girl had fell top to botttom down these concrete stairs. i knew something was going to happen, and it did.

I was in a near fatal MVA, May 21,2007...I hit a metal guardrail and cememnt barrier doing 85...No air bag, no seat belt..Took 190 psi blunt force to my head twice..Ended up dying for 30 minutes in Trauma One..I remember a humming noise, the feeling like I was being sucked through a straw, black light then a huge white light, blinding..I seen my mother who took her own life when I was 16, she was standing there and I was told it was not my time that I needed to go back, I was like no, it hurts so bad, I can't...I remember reaching for her and when I touched her hand thats when the doctors managed to bring me back....My soul was puting up one hell of a fight..I have the papers on my desk of when the declared me dead that night....It was amazing, I felt at peace, calm, intense love like all the pain emotionally here was gone, my body did not hurt..All warm and fuzzy...

The house I grew up in was haunted. I would hear footsteps, and something like marbles rolling around in the attic when no body was up there. Also, there was a dark presence in the basement.

Empathy in the paranormal sense is such a blessing and a curse. It's got to be contained. Sometimes the feelings can overwhelm you and make you go insane. It's an exercise of discretion. You have to learn to pick and choose who you are targeting, and more importantly, how to target them. Large groups can overwhelm an individual if they can't control their ability of empathy. Of course, everyone has a sense of empathy, but in the paranormal sense, the empathy is stronger in some individuals (AKA empaths).

When my ex-girlfriend and I were living together, we had rented a house and even on the first night moved it felt like someone was watching us.
The longer we lived there more strange thing keep occurring, flower pot’s would tip over and break at night, pictures would fall of the wall and one night a rocking chair got moved to the other side of the room.
While sleeping one night we could both hear her son's bed getting shook violently across the hall, I jumped up to check on him and he was still a sleep.
That's when we decided it was time to move.
