Boston dances across my memory
A time when life had fewer angles White clouds float through my mind To censor these thoughts seems impossible They gnaw at me like a terrier with a bone Eskimo kisses are remembered When I should be listening to a boring speaker Case notes should be jotted to trigger memory But my thoughts are lost in a romantic tangle You are a light to this weary mind Though the chance of seeing you again impossible Tonight I will again be alone Our life has been permanently dismembered But for the moment my heart feels weaker These memories are so sensory Like a horse I would wrangle Overwhelmed by a heart that is blind I can not make my thoughts be sensible My spirit so hates that you are gone And Boston dances across my memory |
