"Portal" is what I found to be the best part of The Orange Box, as it was simply THAT good. In fact, I personally think Valve should have held off on an "Episode 2" in favor of a full-fledged version of Portal with more levels. Or they could have at least done things ala "The X-Files", where you're given a whole other storyline that will impact the Half Life universe as a whole. As it was, they kinda did that with the Orange Box, but not enough if you ask me.

Or they could have at least done things ala "The X-Files", where you're given a whole other storyline that will impact the Half Life universe as a whole. As it was, they kinda did that with the Orange Box, but not enough if you ask me. Do you know how much I hope the Borealis has a Portal gun on it? Do you?

I wouldn't think that Eli Vance would be so adamant that you destroy the mystery item if it were the Portal Gun. I mean, it's cool... but I wouldn't call it something that could result in some grave "unforeseen consequences". There may very well be a Portal Gun, but it might be used as something that can destroy the item on the Borealis. But we won't know that until Valve decides to get their games ready to ship. Do you know how much I hope the Borealis has a Portal gun on it? Do you?
