Hi Zero_Effected
I intended the following:

Would it be faith if I could prove Jesus Christ Is The Son Of God?

This is the trickey part. (lol)

[Holy Bible NIV] Hebrews 11:1
[ By Faith ] Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of
what we do not see.

John 3:16 (New International Version)
New International Version (NIV)
Copyright © 1973, 1978, 1984 by International Bible Society
16"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,[a]
that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Ok so If I am wrong you lose a couple of bucks and actually learn
about Jesus Christ and how he differs so much from Mankind and meet lots
of people on thier best behavior
and believe in a much higher power than even you(lol).

And if I am right, then you live your life free from
paying the price of sin and go to heaven where all the answeres are and
not to mention a whole new life NOW, full of brand new challenges and
you could be a Warrior Princess with Arrows of Fire and a full arsonal
of deadly weapons.

I answered all the questions you asked all about the Holy Bible but
could not post them because it would take to much research and My belief
is not bullet proof like some people I know..(lol).
So I rest My head and heart knowing that God's strength is perfected in
MY weakness and I only have one Arrow left.

Well put Who... and too true in my thinking... people ASSume too much
when they place blind faith in something as powerful as this.. people
with intelligence will question their authority, their values AND their
way.. only to be scorned for doing so?!... a cool Canadian Comic (Daryl
Makk) states it clearly I believe.. there are 2 types of people.. those
that Lead... and those that follow.. those that follow are mindless
SHEEPLE...

and yes.. they will be the ones that 'freak out' the most... as the
truth will come crashing down around them ..extinguishing their world as
they know it...!!! Chaos WILL begin!

LMAO John...

Ok.. we ALL have our own belief systems.. and you COULD quote the
Scriptures.. although that is where you loose me cuz even having read
the Bible and having gone to church EVERY sunday ALL my years till about
15 years ago.. I've NEVER lost faith in GOD.. but HAVE lost faith in the
church..

My belief systems tells me that if THAT many people were involved in the
creating of ONE book.. then surely we are not getting the WHOLE truth's
on ANY one passage..

EDITING: the revision or corrections, as of a manuscript! to omit,
eliminate.. (webster's dictionary)

thus said.. again I ask.. how can you have Blind Faith in something
we're not even sure is the WHOLE Story/truth??

As to your Warrior comments and sins etc... John..

as it turns out.. I AM considered a Warrior of kinds..

I've survived TOO many battles in life.. and those close to me look upon
me with awe... (this is not self proclaimed)! I possess a certain
Strength if you will that has given me the sustaining power to not only
forge ahead.. but as well to carry on with a positive and empowering
persistance..

I clinically died at the age of 17 and visited the 'light'... God WAS
there.. in the form of man... his simplicity stood out over the hundreds
that milled about.. he approached me with arms held wide.. an embrace
filled with serenity and love.. I had tasks left unfinished so was told
it was 'not my time' and sent back to this Purgatory... although since
that time have encountered many a 'hurdle' yet thru it all .. I've felt
the sustaining presence of GOD.. I am his humble servant in many ways..
and feel his comforting essence embrace me when I am at my weakest..

I have survived Cancer... 8 operations.. 2 hospital stay's of being
loaded with a 'cocktail' of drugs.. with always that heart needle of
adrenaline close at hand.. I've given birth to 2 beautiful girls.. when
MEDICINE deemed me Unable.. I CUD go on.. but then this would be TOO
long to read LOL..

In reverence I hold God.. for his enduring support, love and guidance..
he is my pillar.. my strength... my salvation... he is my Mentor and my
Father.. but above ALL else.. he is My Friend!! I have dedicated myself
to the life AND lives he gave me.. I am humbled in his presence.. yet
bask in the glow of his forgivness!

I fight to protect that which cannot protect itself or themselves.. I
have singled handedly stopped the destruction of 100 acres of wooded and
swamp lands in my neighboring towns.. I am leading the fight to stop
Rural Hunting as it's encroaching dangerously close to our homes!! I am
preparing a fight to protect natures smaller wildlife.. one that will be
presented to the Canadian, USA govt's AND the Automobile associations!!
I am a parent and fight to keep my children safe from the 'destructive
value/moral' system presently in play..

I've been gifted with an insight and a sense of understanding or empathy
if you will.. that allows me to see others from THEIR point of view.. I
am NOT their Judge.. nor can I be..

Our sins are forgiven.. we need only ask!

That is a good question Zero_E.

I give up....what is the answere. lol

Because the proof would scare the pooh out of most mortals,
escpecially me, faith could be the path of least resistance.
When that runs it's course then "Seek Me And You Will Find Me".
Flipside...Seek the bad in people and you find it...seek the weakness
in church and you will find it, seek the gossip and you will find them.
So Concrning spiritual matters, What you are looking for you will
find.
Not so much as to what the church can do for people but what the
people can do for the church.
You can change the world!

claiming to see things and having followers does not make you a devine
person if so, then hell David Koresh was devine. Not of the bs matters
anyhow, it all boils down to faith and believing. either you do or you
don't. You seek or you shun. There are works of God performed all the
time and science and people always look for other reasons to explain the
mind bending circumstances Never stopped before and not about to now. I
want to share a couple of stories, One a lady with MS has not walked in
years, the disease has dibilatated her body to the point she was
confined to a wheelchair for several years and no hope of ever getting
better. One day she's sitting on a toilet doing whatever she was doing
there. Suddenly a bolt of lightning comes into the building and strikes
the woman right there on the pot. Now the lady is cured of her MS, can
walk, run and do all the things she hasn't done for so long, she almost
forgot what it was like. What would you call this? I know what I call
it, but I truly believe it God and all of his power and glory. Someone
that doesn't, will find an excuse for the events that took place on that
day and the results. This happened not all that long ago. Another
story is of a tornado that wreaked havoc on a town or city in the south,
this happened many years ago. After the storm had passed and all the
destrution was able to be seen, something else was seen also by
thousands of people and made it's way into the newspaper and television
across the country, it was a cloud formation in the shape of a robe with
sandled feet and hands put together like in a prayer form, only thing
not visible was a head. Clouda can look like many things at anytime but
for clouds to take on this form at this time with the exactness of form
that it had is totally unheard of but skeptics and non believers still
found a way to describe it. The bible says that people will denounce God
and dispute his existence, of course they will, they always have and
always will. For the believers and some not so sure people these were
events where God showed us that he still performs miracles to this day
and will for eternity. We either see them or make excuses for them.
Either way the miracles are still there. A special little note to the
non believers out there, The bible also makes predictions for diseases
towards the end of the earth and there are so many more diseases showing
up in the past 100 years that it's ridiculous not to see what's right in
front of your face, like aids and bird flu just to name a couple, bird
flu is not a bad thing on people right now, but was a terrible disease
back in the early 1900's, killed millions of people. I know, "well this
was a long time ago", yeah it was a long time ago to us, but as far as
the age of the earth goes it was a very recent event and threatens to
make another debut.

well Zero, you raise some interesting points about my post. And yes, all
your examples could make sense when we apply how society thinks today
about such events. BUT, I've never seen ANYONE feed several hundred ppl
with only a couple of fishes and loaves of bread.
The final point about who Jesus really was comes after his crucifiction.
Where did his body go?? The Romans sure weren't gonna remove it cuz that
would make it seem like the prophecy came true. Did His followers remove
Him? Unlikely, they would have had to be a big group to move the stone
from His resting place and that would have drawn the attention of the
guards. Not to mention the noise it would make. So WHERE did his body
go? And finally, why in the WORLD would the Romans and the Jews
basically work together to kill Jesus? They didn't exactly like the
romans being there. Why were these 2 groups so afraid of ONE man that
did nothing but good? Because he threatened to upset the status quo.
Augustus would NOT have been emperor of the known world if it turned out
Christ was who he claimed to be and the Jews would have been upset
because it would mean the "end" of their "personal relationship" with
God. Funny part is, the Romans ended up becoming the largest bulwark of
Christianity for centuries after.

Very cool Miracles.. that's what I'D call them.. but there are sceptics
Mike.. and like you said.. you either believe or you don't!!

I don't dipute God.. on the contrary.. I embrace him.. the question here
was about Jesus though.. !

He was a Man... Jesus.. of flesh and blood.. he even states in the
Bible.. (for those who follow scripture) "...if you cut me.. do I not
bleed??" so.. being a Man whether he be Divine or not.. would he not
have desires as men do?.. he was NEVER proclaimed a 'priest' per say....
only a Saviour, Profit, King... he hung out with his disciples.. YET..
there are MANY mentions of Mary being around during many meetings,
suppers, etc.. so.. would it not SEEM probable that he would be
attracted to her in a physical way...?? and being 32 could he not have
secretly married her with GOD's approval and born a child of that
result??

Fri 12/15/06 10:55 AM
Ok... Brother John LOL

it WOULD scare the crap outta MANY people.. and I believe the end result
would in ensue total Chaos and War.. not a pretty thought.. there's
already too many Wars fought in the name of Religion!!

History keeps repeating itself, the Crusades.. the Salem Witch hunt..
Middle East.. all declared in God's or the Church's name..

Sadly.. a war would rage.. if ONLY people would not loose site of the
Bigger Picture.. if they could keep their faith in GOD and accept that
Man (& Jesus)has failings and often times make mistakes (as in the
editing of the bible or dismissing perhaps the real significance of the
Holy Grail)but people or rather Sheeple would not know where to turn
to.. they would be lost.. and in that loss there would be distrust and
hundreds of other horrifying feelings unleashed..

yes.. what the people can do for the church.. the only thing I've found
in church is an alter boy with his hand out I'm afraid.. and
encouragement to Give Generously to reap more Heavenly rewards... I'm
sorry.. but you can't BUY a place in Haeaven.. it must be EARNED!! :o)

the path of least resistance.. ok.. does that insinuate that we should
be mindless followers just cuz a book says we shud be?? I can't buy into
that.. but...

Wouldn't life be grand if all could SEE the forest for the trees!! :o)

Fri 12/15/06 11:24 AM
Wow.. those are very interesting and thought provoking questions
Public... I'll do my best... :o)

Which post was that? I'm sorry.. I just blurted this out after seeing
the movie is all.. the topic got me a little excited mentally I'd say
LOL...

again.. going back to the "EDITED" Bible.. how can we know for SURE
that's what happened.. remember.. the Bible is only stories the people
(disciples) wrote.. THEIR rendition.. could it not be possible that they
extended the truth a tad?? and over time.. like ANY good story.. the 50
people became 10,000?? well.. you know what I mean.. an exageration over
time.. ie: the boss kisses the secretary on the cheek for her birthday..
very innocently.. and the onlookers start a rumor of how they're having
an affair!! In NO time it's taken a life of it's own!! I would think
that people are a product of their enviornment and over the years
certain traits have carried on.. just like the illness of today.. could
they not in SOME form been around back then?? not too many stories of
people dying of Old Age back then.. most didn't get to 40 if you believe
the stories.. so.. perhaps they HAD all these illnesses but due to lack
of knowledge and technology could not discover what the TRUE ailments
were till this century!!! Years ago dying of a Heart Attack was known as
dying of Indigestion!!! can you see where I'm going with all this?? lol

As to his body... I believe he was moved by his followers.. and placed
in an unmarked grave so as not to attrack thieves and descrators... that
is just my opinion though.

the Fear?? I believe that he was SUCH a "Pop Star", if you will, in his
time that his remaining humble only inccured the wrath of both..as HIS
followers grew and theirs dwindled!! As you said.. in the sense he was
disrupting the natural order of things as THEY liked them.. so.. to put
an end to this fear.. they plotted to have him put to death. They
feared him even more when he chose NOT to hide or run.. but to embrace
what was destined to be his fate. Was he the Son of Man?? or was he
just a fervent Man of God??

the Romans having seen the 'mindless following' Jesus had.. needed a way
to take back control of the citizens.. what better way than to create
the 'Seat of the church/Power' under the pretense of JESUS and GOD so
they could control 'discretely' the people with?? or better yet.. put a
stamp of approval on his 'teachings' now that he was safely 'out of the
way'... would that not be a strategic political move for ultimate
power??

yeah I know he was a man a mortal man there's no disputing that the
bible tells you this.

We are to follow the commandments laid out in the old testament, but not
necessarily the "laws". The Old testament laws were done away with when
Jesus Christ was born. Instead of animal sacrifices, we are now saved by
FIRST: admitting we are all sinners and TWO: confessing our sin (daily
if necessary, to GOD, not a priest, unless you just want to) and THREE:
Believe in the blood of Jesus Christ and that by His blood we are
forgiven of our sins...God the Father, God the Son (Jesus) and The Holy
Spirit (which lives within us)
The movie...complete myth and a movie vaguely based onm the biblical
truths to confuse thoise that haf heartedly believe and that are looking
for an excuse not to surrender complete authority to the Lord above, our
creator and God of all...

Just an opinion, not to ruffle any feathers...I usually stay out of this
forum because I do not wnat to offend anyone, so take it however you
want.
We all have free will to believe what we want to believe...that is the
beauty of the world...

The Movie was great....but yet and still a story based on fictious
nonsense.... but the one truth about it is that it
exploits the Catholic Church, inregards to their issues of keeping
secrets with regards to the priests and their matters.
So no...the Movie was just that....a piece of entertainment...
praise, Hollywood.... besides, if it were true.... would it actually be
in France.... cmon....!

sweetcountrygirl that's a nice thought but man cannot follow the 10
cammandments, they were the way to heaven but man could not follow them
and God saw this that's the whole point in Christ giving his life. If
man could follow the commandments, that would mean Christ died in vain.

but you should live by them as much as possible.

This is a very serious issue.. yes.. it IS an issue.. or at least is
Becoming one... there are many different thought processes on this
topic.. Theologians have been seeking the 'total truth' and although God
Fearing men.. have yet questions unanswered.. the study of DaVinci's
work has been an ongoing study (although not well publicized).. just as
the works of Nostradamus have been picked apart and investigated.. I
just think we need be more openminded about what came after GOD..

I believe we are all subject to our perceptions and there are some of us
that may look elsewhere than the church for answers.. although.. that
does NOT mean that Faith in God is lost.. on the contary.. I feel that
God is a guiding force in discovering the truth.. I feel that all is NOT
lost and Salvation is VERY possible.. but that of course... is Totally
up to the individual :o)
