I guess it would depend if it was a typical argument or a real fight. I don't know how bad it is to say.

well, they get very loud to the point that she starts screaming for 'help'
I called 911 before {about 15 times} but they always end up together again.

15 times...

Ur call but this time she could end up dead...I'd call...give me the addy...

That's true,

I know several women who have died due to domestic violence. It's a very sad thing. DV is far more common than you may realize.

I know alot of women that have been through that. I don't understand how people can do that to each other.

Someone who would do that doesn't deserve a nice person such as yourself. I don't understand how people can do that to women. It's hard for me to even raise my voice towards a woman (hell, to anyone anymore...). I hate domestic violence. It's ridiculously absurd.

I learned in school and books that a man's reaction of walking away in a heated debate is a natural way of saving his own life. In an argument, the blood pressure of men rises very rapidly and can easily cause a heart attack and death. Domestic violence situations occur very often when the man is not allowed to walk away, or he decides to stay to hash it out. Competitive people are easily caught up in domestic disputes, especially if no one walks away.

it really hurts inside and out..this is someone who is supposed to love you..

I usually don't think about it..this reminded me..that was a guy I lived with who pushed me through the storm door..my ex husband actually put a pillow over my head..I was passing out when my daughter (4) walked in.

she is 17 now and the therapy has worked nicely except..she doesn't date.

it's not that easy to walk away when some drunk is bent on wreaking havoc over your body

Wow, that's pretty intense…I think they need stricter punishments for domestic abusers. I understand your daughter's resistance to dating…that's a very stressful situation for a four year old to go through. I hope that she doesn't have to go through any of that stuff…I've heard that women who've been around that situation tend to gravitate towards abusive relationships. I hope that doesn't end up the case with your daughter.

You're right... I've been in plenty myself. Kinda difficult to walk away when they've got a chokehold, that's for sure!

It's true. I spent 10 years getting beat up by an alcoholic before I finally got away from him, our daughter was 5 at the time. I worked really hard to get her counseling, etc., so she would follow suit and date that type of man, but she has, virtually all of the men she has dated or even married have been alcoholic, carbon copies of her dad.

I even explained the cycle of violence to her and all that. She seems to feed on the adrenaline that the drinking and fighting bring to the relationship, told me I was boring because all I did was work, she wanted "fun" in her life. Guess we all make our choices.
