Not a smart thing to do...if there was actually something in our dogs stomach (such as bleach or other caustic liquids or poisons) you do not ever want to induce vomiting (some people have ZERO brain matter)....you need to call around and talk to a vet and not ask some people on this forum to tell you what to do...they would have you killing that dog with some ill fated suggestions....never take any serious issues such as a medical emergency to a website such as this...and a word of warning for you that would THINK of helping someone with this type of information, if you elect to TELL someone to do something and it makes a living being or animal die from YOUR advice, you best be ready to hire a batch of Lawyers...you are putting your own "rear end" at risk. Get some brain matter working here.. this is not a medical site....and for those that need to READ up on what NOT to do about inducing vomiting, I seriously suggest you read what happens when you do induce vomiting due to caustic and other severe liquids. You can find such information in most standard issues of basic first aid, as well at places such as poison control informational websites and hot lines. I can not believe someone would even give another person such STUPID advice without even knowing what is actually wrong with the person's dog. STUPID

he ate onions last night could that cause this ?? I was cutting up onions and dropped a piece on the floor and he grabbed it and ran with it .. on hold for Vet now

Absolutely Onions and Chocolate are toxic and can kill dogs especially if they are small. Take him to the vet ASAP.

okay a vet said that he said that there is a virus going around and he will see him in the morning providing he does not get any worse - the foam he explained is prob like when we get cough up mucus - I asked the vet about the possibility of onions and he said that dogs normally wont eat them and it did not sound to him like a poisoning - his food and water have been taken up for a while and he is laying on my lap licking my face while I type this - Thank you very much for all your help and suggestions .. sometimes I think that I am just being a nervous dog mommy - I have lost a lot this year and don't think I could handle anymore loss --

i would see a emergency vet as soon as possible, if you leave it to long, it may be to late.

goodluck. flowerforyou flowerforyou

my rabbit was took ill, we rushed him up the vets, we were there in ten minutes, and im not going into detail because it still upsets me, but he was put to sleep straight away. he only suffered for a very short time, while they were getting the injection into a vein and it broke my heart seeing him suffer. There was nothing we could have possibly done, but if you get help now, it might save him suffering.

im sorry but i cant stand a animal suffering when theres help there,
