does anyone suffer with this?? Last night i had it the worst i ever have, and when i was able to move i went to the bathroom, and my legs gave way on me and i fell straight to the ground and hurt me bum lol.

For the people who dont know, sleep paralysis is when you wake up and you cant move, the signals from my brain havnt told my legs or arms or anything to move. im normally able to move after a few minutes but sometimes longer. Im a bit concerned as my legs have never got numb and totally gave way on me before.

Does anyone know anything about this?

thanks flowerforyou

I have that, along with being permanently paralyzed from the waist down. I hate waking up and not being able to move.

Oh I couldn't tell you if it is medicine related. I am allergic to so much tho that there is really nothing they can do for me. But if I were you I would talk to a doctor, or call your pharmacist to ask about your medicine.

flowerforyou HI DEBBIE Yes it may be related to some meds that are not letting you get the sleep you need.Or letting you go into the REM stage.I've had bad reactions to meds to..

hiya, it is very distressing because i wake up to use my inhaler for my asthma as im weezing, and i cant move to get my inhaler. i have had a EEG, and ive had ct scans as well due to severe migrianes a few years ago and they were all clear. I think it could be some meds im on. Im able to mumble, and normally my mom heres me and she comes in and shakes me and then i can always move. But if it happens when no ones in the house i can be like it for a while. frown

Have you ever had a sleep study done? It sounds to me like the chemicals in your brain are going haywire while you sleep. When you go to sleep, your body naturally paralyzes the muscle (in most people) but as you wake up it is supposed to wear off. Sounds like the chemical is overactive or something.

o I'm sorry hun I've had migraines for all my life really ,since I was 3..I'm now 31..Ans they didn't tell me until last year that I had a chari malformation 1 in the brain.Where part of the brain is falling below the stem..thats where they thin most of my migraines stem from now.And surgery would give only a 50% chance of making me better at this point..Maybe they over look something like this they did me for nearly 27years..If they dont know .It was an Er doctor that told me..All my EEG's normal to.I have neurofibromatosis, scoliosis a form of spina bifida, the chari-malformation,migraines,and a hert murmur..I think thats all..But anyways..Yes Its somethings in the brain I do believe..I scream wake up..and it dont work..

I suffer from just the opposite, I awake in the morning just to discover a certain body part woke "up" way before I did. Can't figure it out but we are certainly were not dreaming about the same thing.
