It catches me like lightning
on a clear and sunny day
When everything is beautiful
and theres nothing to dismay
It makes me smile from ear to ear
but then it turns to tears
Those of joy and loneliness
and also some of fears
I let the water trickle down
as if im not crying at all
Hoping I can mask them
as Im walking down the hall

its something I hardly hear.

And no one can take that away

But I guess that too will pass
Just add it to the many things
that have pained me in the past.
For once again my heart just cant
