What the heck is up with mutual match , they show me a pic and I have to decide yes no maybe ?? I know very little about them how do I know if I am interested or not .. They may be nice looking idiots or get have great personalitis but who can tell .. Someone help or I will keep marking maybe.... and what happens when I mark maybe or yes what is my obligation?? Just cause I talk to ya doesn't mean I want to marry ya and what is with Ims from folks I don't know .. um HHHHHEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP

I won't accept IMs from anyone I haven't dealt with in the forums or by e-mail. I just think it's sort of rude and presumptuous for someone to IM me unsolicitedly. Besides, they're always stupid anyway: "How's it going?" Yeah, like I want to waste my time on that, when I could be using Google Images to find pictures of Fernando Valenzuela throwing his screwball.

By the way, rating someone MAYBE is pretty much the same as YES, in that the person who gets your MAYBE is informed that someone (they don't tell them WHO until/unless the person also gives you the MAYBE or YES rating) is interested in them.

I've been playing with MM since they started it, and I have clicked NO about 1294 times in a row -- mainly because the profiles that they show along with the pics are so hopelessly vapid, I can't even imagine trying to have a 4-minute conversation with someone whose entire profile consists of "I don't know what to write here" or "Anything you want to know, you'll have to ask me" without falling asleep 2 minutes in.

I mean, the idea behind the MM has potential, but the problem is with the people. Every week, we get someone posting about MM candidates who say YES or MAYBE to each other, but then when one contacts the other, the second one won't write back. So why rate someone a YES or a MAYBE if you're not going to talk to them if they rate you the same? It really makes no sense.

While we're airing our issues with MM, might I add that most of the "matches" I get are from MILES AND MILES away! I'm in IOWA! I really don't think I'm going to be too successful building a relationship online with someone in Holland. Thanks... but let's be realistic.

I like to read the forums and then click on profiles of people who's comments interest me. 9 times out of 10 they live miles and miles away... but at least I enjoy thier forum chatter.
