He may end up stationed in San Diego then he could spend time with his dad

My son is wanting to join the armed forces. What's the easiest to get into? And what r the chances of him being sent to Iraq???  well the army and marines are the mostly likely to go to irag...also one of the easiest to get into. The airforce has the highest quality of life...The navy is changing very rapidly.. Storm what your saying about the navy never seeing war was true back then...But its not now. The navy has implemented a new program called I.A(Individual Augmentee) The summary of it is that they can pull you and send you to a billet in Irag on Foot filling army support jobs..They have done this because of the army being undermanned....And now it is a REQUIREMENT for someone to do an I.A Tour in order to advance to certain ranks...So Sharon my opinion on which is the best? really depends on what type of job your Son wants to get, they all have very different Jobs and offer different experience. So my question before i can answer yours is what field does your son want to go into? |

I think he wants to be a cook. Stay away from the navy then. They are not allowed to cook the way they want. And they have EXTREMLY long working hours..Try the air force would be my opinion. |

I had a nephew in the navy and went to irac but was just on a ship out there for awhile......he did fine.....air force is good too.....i did four years a long time ago

ahhhh from what i remember you did have to score a bit higher on that asvab test to get in.....but i dont think too hard...but the air force was cool i did like it,i just didnt like the hair cut
