i once read a short story, written during the height of the Cold War. It was about how the Soviets had sucessfully invaded the US, and were torturing dissenters by killing them and bringing them back to life. It was told from the point of view from a tough ol' cowboy who took every opportunity to stick it to his captors, even though the revivng part was horrifically painful. Very good read, though quite unsettling. Too much for a "game" thread?
