my sons always made Vd special for me..either with a beautiful card,,a hand made gift...and sometimes just a big hug and I Love You....
This year with all of us being in seperated places...I am sure a phone call will come from each...thats all it takes... For my 18 yr old I found a little card I gave him yrs ago..."that I am tucked into his pocket it says..more but u know those little cards that say so much..from hallmark....and candy... My marine I bought him 2 great books....which I will write on the pages....Title r "No Limits But the SKy" the other is "Wit and wisdom of mothers".. Just sayings in the book..ex "when it comes to Love..Mom's the word"... I will next week buy them also for my younger son and do the writing also... I love and Miss my sons terribly...the tears won't stop today...  It's so nice to see so many ppl who have lovely children who make Vd special for their parents...

I have always bought something for my boys! This will be the first year that my son will be away on Valentines day. His college is offering to send heart shaped donuts to our "valentines" so I am doing that this year for my oldest son. And of course for my little "valentine" I will buy him something to let him know that I love him.
I have always showed my boys that I love them. BUT I just don't do this on Valentines Day. I send them cards for no reason, and I send them in the mail. My youngest son loves to get mail, so it brightens his day and I show him how much I love him.

Ya .. last Christmas we made all the cutout cookies and never had time to frost them, so we are doing really fancy

My young niece just turned 7. I always get her a musical card, and candy that she likes.(She then gives me a hug.)It is the best gift I get all year.

love it .. I LOVED all the glitter cards my kids used to make. cuz they spent all the $$$ getting me the roses, bear and candy I mentioned at the beginning of the thread .. they forgot about that.
This year everyone's broke. I'm hopin' for the glitter cards again

Oh now there is a mention of Christmas..
 I, at times, make my own earrings when the creative urge hits. Every year around Thanksgiving, my son & I would spend a few hours during a given weekend and make earrings together. He was then in charge of giving them out to friends and neighbors. I miss doing that with him for he has lost interest and I respect that. Maybe I should do something like that for Valentine's Day.

Awe yes, I have 4 boys (one is fixing to turn 15, also hav 12, 10, 10) and they will make me cards and make me little gifts of love. In return I will treat them to MickyDee's for a nite out on the town..
MickyDee's 2 Cheeseburger Happy Meal's only ketchup.. 1 sprite N 1 dp #4 Only ketchup N pickles.. Coke #4 with DP Reesors to rent a funny movie Spending time with my children.. Priceless..

awwwwwwwww my babies just had a dozen roses AND a POTC/Johnny Depp Balloon to my work.
OMG .. they are sooooooo good to me. WE sent my son up at CSU a package with homeade Cards and Starbucks gift card. My younger son made sticky buns to send to him too. I got up @ 5 to go to the store .. got the other 3 stuffed bears, little heart boxes of chocolate & went to Starbucks for hot drinks  YUMMY We LOVE holidays! |

When my son was really young I used to make him heart shaped cakes and cupcakes and all that but now he just wants money or a bag of chips!!!
