Indeed and the fact that you don't have software updates every day and you don't have to restart you computer every time you update it or install or uninstall anything.

There might be a few autocad programs for the Mac, but they aren't the industry standards, and I don't get to pick which one I use. All those different programs are incompatible, so you just have to use what everyone else uses.

The problem is that noone took Apple seriously for years, and now they have to make that up in a large portion of the business sector where there's a huge switchover cost. Of course that's only if they have an interest in that customer base, which I'm not sure they do.

Very true but I think Apple is slowly getting their foot in the door. It's not gonna be an overnight thing but they have more marketshare than they've ever had.

I use a Mac at home and a PC at work. Years ago I had a Mac and a PC at home, that PC was a worthless POS.

I grew up using PCs and moved to a Mac in college. I got sick of all the viruses, spyware, adware, and just flaky nature of Windows. My Mac works how I expect a computer to work; if I want to uninstall a program, I drag it to the trash.

Macs have their drawbacks. As mentioned, they do have less software (especially with games and database programs). They also cost much more.

But I never have problems with my computer. I never have to see the "blue screen of death" again. I don't have to restart my computer randomly because it starts acting up. I don't have to run 20 scans every week.

A lot of it has to do with what you use your computer for. If I used my computer to play games or type databases, I'd go back to a PC. For me, there's just not much incentive.

Make up? Hardly make-up Apple re-marketed themselves and did so rather well. Apple is more "elite" in thier marketing campaigns, so they are not trying to sell to everyone only the "elite". Mac will never in my opinion become the World Choice in computers, they are the more upscale brand of computer, like a lexus or a cadillac. Unlike a Ford Taurus or Chevy Calvalier.

A Mac is a PC. A box running any desktop Linux distribution is a PC. A box running Windows is a PC. With there being so few manufacturers of Computer components today the thing that sets these platforms 'apart' is the Operating System. PC vs Mac, that's just being dumb. Mac OS vs Windows, that's better.
