I had someone on my friends list who deleted me as a friend without letting me know through E-Mail. My question is should i block that friend from sending me any E-Mails.

Do you know for sure that they deleted you..sometimes the site does that by itself..some sort of bug in the system I think

My other friends are sill in my friends list. So I believe the friend deleted me. It would've been nice o get message saying I'm off the friends list. So should i block the friend from e-mailing me

i wouldn't block her, she could have deleted you cuz you and her just don't talk often..
send her an invite, if she accepts, you can ask her then if she doesn't..move on from it |

Why would you block him/her?? Who cares who is or isn't on your friends list?? YOU know who your friends are. Who cares what a bunch of electrons on this site say?? This seems rather petty to me... |

I set the former friend an E-Mail asking the friend why.

I'm also debating getting rid of my JSH friends list and just communicating with other JSH members in the forums only.

What's the purpose of the Friends List anyway?? I've always seen it as kind of a juvenile popularity show. There are some people who happened to like my stupid profile or some posting I made and asked to be added to my friends list. Fine, I'm not going to get into a big debate about what defines "friends" on here. There are others in my friends list who are truly friends of mine. We chat and share and connect. There are MANY others around here I would consider to be my friends but we don't bother passing notes in class behind Miss Hopkin's back asking "Will you be my friend? Please check YES or NO." Just be a friend to the people you relate to and ignore the goofy lists. |

Why does it have to be all or nothing FSman? If it's meaningful to someone to be on your friends list then is it doing any harm?
I don't understand the friends list myself but if someone wants to be listed there and they're not some a-hole then I don't have a problem with it. |
