I watched this over the weekend and I ended up buying it last night. I already owned Planet Terror and this completed the Grindhouse set. Death Proof didn't sound very good to me, but the movie was much better than I had expected. Tarantino has yet to let me down. I admit that it's a little boring in a couple scenes, but overall, it's a great movie.

Yeah I found it slow paced in some parts too but you gotta remember that the movie's length was cut down a lot when it was in theaters since they were both released together.

It's a shame to see those awesome muscle cars get smashed up(in fact I saw on an auction show last weekend an all original Charger selling for 159,000 bucks!); but it's nice to know that it was at least worth it though. Great car stunts without CG is always good to see. And Kurt Russell is awesome; I was rooting for him instead of the girls laugh

Honestly, I felt Death Proof was one of the best movies released in 2007. I love the build up for the first crash/stunt scene. I mean, you get to know all the girls, and that is good, but when Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) enters the picture, he takes over the film. I mean, Tarantino has always been a whiz when it comes to dialogue, and he doesn't disappoint here. But what he really does that is so brilliant is that he builds up the anticipation of the car chase scenes. I feel that if the film had not been cut down when it was released in theaters then people would have appreciated it more. But, thank God for DVD.

I always like Tarantino's movies. He has a style that I just can't help but appreciate.

You mentioned how parts of it seemed slow, but I see that as a pattern in Tarantino's style; he always has that build-up to the quick "bang" moment.

Four Rooms: all the talk until they finally go through with the bet....

Kill Bill: the last scene where they talk until the quick fight with the final anticipated move....

I thought Death Proof fit his style and loved the characters. Good flick.

I've always liked Tarantinos style...

Thus far I've enjoyed all of his movies
Pulp Fiction was in my opinion a great movie..
Kill Bill 1 and 2...like Gem mentioned, he builds up the momento...
I think he is very creative with his work..drinker
