i have no idea how my kids do it but they use frostwire, have no clue, check it out though, don't lol if it can't help you, but there must be a reason they are using it.

isn't the FLV extension for flash videos? are you trying to extract the audio from a flash video?

I download from youtube with save2pc I use it to convert the videos to mpeg it says it can also save as mp3 but I haven't used it that way
