Well I have to be whether I want to be or not, which actually I love being there for my babies. Their mother was and is very verbally abusive. Last summer we were sharing custody and I was to have them for the summer. She came to pick up the girls and take them to McDonalds. While there she told the girls they were not coming back to my house. That naturally got the shit in position with the fan. The oldest started arguing, one thing lead to another, and the next thing you know her mother was pulling her around by her hair. The management called the police and I get a call from children services to meet them at the police station, that my kids were there. So from that point I have had them and for awhile had to be present during all of the ex's visits with the kids.

right Karen and even if you don't mean it this way, don't word it like other people are less of a person. lover, or provider in anyway. Not cool to categorize in certain ways.
