Here's the FACTS on the America's hard stance against pot.
IF pot were legalized in the US it would severely impact the pharmaceutical industries in the US. Pot can be used for a variety of medicinal uses that would eliminate the need for pharmaceuticals, of which almost ALL cause kidney and liver damage. The Only REAL harm that comes from pot is the actual smoking of it, and that can be dramatically reduced by using a water bong.
It is NOT a gateway drug either. And for those that wanna argue it is, then look at cigarettes and booze. These are usually the 1st "drugs" ppl try.
And btw..pot is NOT a drug..it's an herb.Neither is it addictive
I been smoking for over 25 years now and there's times I go months without partaking but I sure don't jones about it.
Nobody has OD'd on marijuana, unless they're one of the few unfortunates that are allergic to it.
And besides, pot is good for society, it prevents me from killing ppl lol

How many crimes have actually been committed by people who were stoned? As compared to say alcohol or acid and all that stuff

There are states working on decriminalizing marijuana, off the top of my head: Utah, California, Colorado...There's probably more but I cannot recall them, the problem with marijuana is that it is a federal law so even with them being decriminalized (to an extent) in these areas people can still be charged federally (though should be noted it's unrealistic that anyone be charged federally when it comes to marijuana, usually this is due to intent to distribute). The best thing to do is send those letter to your senate, congressman, and local governer. Even if all 50 states were to decriminalize marijuana, it more than likely will never be off the federal laws.

Not really..legal and decriminalized are 2 different things.
In Canada they decriminalized because sooo many ppl had criminal records for simple possession. It's still not LEGAL, just that if you have 3/12 grams or less, the worst that will happen is you'll get a fine, and that's pretty much the same fine as drinking in public.

The Smokeless state topic inspired me to ask everyone what they think about the legalization or decriminalization of marajuana in the United States???

i myself feel that it should be legal...it is not a drug it is an herb...drugs have to be processed....this is from the earth in natural state....side effects...hungry..sleepy...happy....i cant see anything wrong with itbigsmile
