Every fiber of her being Was bruised tattered and bloodied
By the shards of glass that is death Red swollen eyes saw nothing but bleak emptiness stretching through forever A heart strained to beat beneath its cloak of stone Gone forever is the innocent sweet twinkle in her eyes Or is it? A friendship still very much in its infancy Has slowly started to heal the gaping wounds That riddled every inch of her heart and soul Red swollen eyes return to a bright hazel One by one the stones begin to corrode Revealing a tattered but beautiful giving heart Laughter softly tickles her insides Taking little tiny baby steps Each and every day she tries harder Remembering what it’s like To be alive Not just sitting amoung the living |
