Depends on the person, mood etc.

I enjoy mundane to sublime dates.

Have been flown to Boston for a date if that counts.

Movie and dinner is ok but I would rather do something different....where verbs are involved

I really like going to the lake for a walk and talking. perhaps a coffee at Bucks and talking..

nothing too complicated... for the first date..

Then afterwards candle lit dinners..home cooked. and movies and cuddling...maybe even dancing in the kitchen is different yet romantic

I've had some amazing first dates...


Bruins game was fun (except I found out he was faking that he watched hockey for my sake. haha).

One guy invited me over to bake cookies (we got to talk and listen to music ) and then we brought the cookies to the soup kitchen.

I've had one where we got dinner and went to the park to hang out.

One took me to an art exhibit and then we went to go chill and he had gotten finger paints and a big thing of paper. So we fingerpainted. (It was so cute)

One guy was really into photography so we wandered around town taking pics and then printed them and put them on his wall.


I guess what makes it a great date is that you can talk and connect with the person. The movies are cliche but its a good backup if you suck at conversation or dont click during dinner.

#4 ... Don't make it TOOO romantic. Save that for a 3rd or 4th date so I don't feel uncomfortable.

#7 ... Don't be TOOO forward ... leave something (a whole LOTTA somethings) for the next times.


Ya, that about wraps it up

my idea of a first date is not the movie part
you cant talk to someone and get to know them while at a movie theatre

I would love the at a park walking so you can talk and get to know them better

the dinner part is ok but as long as it is casual

ps .. ya, you don't even get an opportunity to APPLY my ideas unless the chemistry is there first.

I've learned, in order to not waste my time or my potential dates .. if we don't have sparks wayyyyyyy ahead of the 'meet' ..umm ya, no meet.
