Snowed in Charlotte. People in the south go crazy when it snows. What's the deal with the milk, TP & bread thing, I'll never understand.

Things are no better here in the UK, I'm sorry to say.
When I was a child road safety was drummed into us like you wouldn't believe. Nowadays the focus seems totally on drivers.
Seriously, there's an advert that's on all the time which shows in slow-motion a kid crossing the road BOUNCING A BALL!!
A car enters the screen from the left and the voice-over says "if the driver had been going 30mph he would have stopped here" (about five feet from the kid)... instead, the car keeps moving, the boy looks to his left when the car is about two INCHES away from him. You can guess what happens next.
And the moral of the advert? "Drive slower"

Hmm... how about "LOOK AT THE FRIKKIN' ROAD BEFORE YOU CROSS AND DON'T BOUNCE A BALL, DUMBA$$!!!!"
