the sad thing is for all the good people who believe in relgion and use it to help there lives ...theres a same percentage of people who will use it to rule and distroy other peoples lives, and it will never change as long as money and politics are involved
sad but true.flowerforyou

Again the religion is only an excuse, the root is the "my way or no way" mentality, not the religion itself. Plenty of non religious folks who do the same things and plenty of folks who do the same kind of condemming towards the religious. To blame the religion is to completly miss the problem and avoid any sollution;^]

In your opinion, does the Harry Potter book series promote the use of real Witchcraft? What other thoughts and opinions do you have on this subject?

Harry Potter was defintely practicing witch craft and if the church traditional role was written into those books would have hanged Harry Potter's little witchcraft practicing butt on the gallows by his magic wand

As far as the topic goes. I seriously doubt it.

Perhaps a small phase if that.

well folks all I have to say, is lets go to the novelty stores and pick up some old tape players and tapes, and start playing them backwards again. Sounds like the Vatican is onto us devil worshipers, so we need to start listening for his word in reverse music again......

Harry Potter is your basic story of good vs. evil. It does involve some spell casting and the like, but it by no means teaches it to the readers.

Harry Potter is a childrens story. It's a very fascinating fantasy story but I don't understand the selectivity...

Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Aladdin, Cinderella etc. etc. Disney has been publicizing witchcraft and magic for decades and the original stories that those films were based on have been incredibly popular for much much longer.

Sure lots of little girls want a pumpkin that turns into a coach or a frog that turns into a prince but is that a "promotion of witchcraft"?

And even if it was advocating witchcraft it's not denigrating another religion... there is no mockery or questioning of chrisianity or any other religion in those books that I have seen.

No book, no movie, no individual can shake me and my beliefs in God. To believe that such things can happen is to give no straight to God or those who believe.

Things like this just gives no streigh to God or his people

I would not go that far. Or else this quote is nonsence..

Matt 24:23-25
3 "Then if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Messiah!' or 'There!' do not believe it. 24 For false Messiah's and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect . 25 See, I have told you beforehand

Blessings of Shalom...Miles
