Protective Walls

Defensive walls are never killed,
a few harsh words and they're revealed
Trying to please and bring delight,
admissions kill it in one swipe
A simple request, you call that
control, no longer will my feelings show
Emotions pour from my heart like blood,
ever flowing, causing a flood
That pain you will no longer see,
I asked of you such simple pleas
The hurt and pain will soon be ceased,
the agony shall I release
I'll let the walls grow tall and proud,
no longer speaking thoughts aloud
Hopeless opinions with no resolve,
into these walls my heart evolves
I gave you more than anyone before,
the walls are built, no pain, no more

Soon, someone with a heart in god's light, will reveal themselves with a love so tight, so before you have the will to keep the dreaded walls from a spill, a loving hand will call on you, and in your heart you will find, that no matter how the torchered past, you give your love once more, but this time, you use the lessons from your past, so it will never had to be built again, but only from that trusted friend...
