The FDA has given the go ahead for meat & dairy product from cloned animals. We have been eating genetically modified corn for several years now. while I am not worried about the safty of eating these items, I do worry about the loss of diverse bloodlines & seed. I think we are setting ourselves up for a disaster. Also what happens when a few corporations control the food supply?
What do you think?

Oh, I expect that we will see a temporary drop in prices followed by them going through the roof once meat and dairy farms are almost completely gone.
It'll take a while, but if this goes to corporate control prices will eventually jump just like gas has (and for as little reason). Oh, but don't worry, because some political lobbyist group will probably end up pushing millions of dollars to save the farms anyway!laugh

I was thinking about how it will never really be real at least not to me and I'm sure a lot of others.. So what's the next step? Will we have to pay premium for "real" cattle? What will happen to the cattle ranchers if this takes off? It's very strange..

Jenna I think about that alot. I would love to grow most of my own food & have started looking for land. Always thought I would have a partner for the adventure, but I guess not. Getting to old to put it off so I'll go it alone.

I suspect we would pay more for "naturally concieved" beef. Like we do now for organic.
