So i was wondering.
we're at war. controversy. we all have our different beliefs. do you think if we just accepted who people were, how people act, accept different religions, etc...we would have peace? whats so wrong with other people believing in different gods? or not believing in a god? whats wrong wit two people of the same sex getting married? why can't we all just get along? |

Because some people believe in their beliefs so much they are willing to die for those beliefs. And though it's cruel, we all need something we'd be willing to die for and kill for. Of course, that's a belief in and of itself. What would you die for? |

because those people with power are not as open minded as you and me.
all they want is control and make things the way they like. basically, ego + selfishness. but worry not, I'm gonna get the power and free our world, making the world better for everyone

correction ... I am gonna obtain power and share the power to the PEOPLE of the WORLD. I think there are more regular people who know how to make the world better than those corrupted people with power today. PEOPLE are going to rule the world with reason and love.

What would you die for? Good question. I'd die for a person I loved. I'd die for something I believed in and knew it would affect a good change in the world. Well, some say they love their God enough to die for Him. Some love Jesus enough to die for him. And all of them, I believe, believe they think they are effecting change. They are not so different than you or I. Just fight with stones instead of words. Maybe the next Great War will be a war of words. But Einstein said he didn't know what the next Great War would be fought with but the one following it would surely be stones. No one understands these wars, we just fight them. I blame the men! Women would not be so barbaric. |

here's a question:
if we have no hope for peace today....how are we gonna have any hope for the future? will it just get worse? for example: back in the day, girls were courted by men, got married, then had sex. now you can meet a random person at the bar and have the famous "one night stands" what if in the future...sex meant nothing. That kids nowadays are having babies at 13-18....what if they kept getting younger... will they start doing sex ed in first grade? |

i have no problem with people beliving what they want. and beleving in different gods and whatever.. i DO however have a problem with terrorists blowing up americans and crashing planes into towers and the pentagon, and on the ground on OUR soil!!!

lol .. I don't think girls will have sex younger because they won't be any attractive anymore if they're younger. I believe I read somewhere that it's all biological. age 13 is actually a good age to have babies? Not 100% sure but something like that ...
I don't think things will get worse because I am seeing more and more intelligent, open minded, and loving people nowadays. I believe things will get better. |

I just try to make a difference in my little corner of the world. That's what is within MY POWER, my reach. If I carried all the burdens of the world on my shoulder, it would only make the world worse specifically my world worse. I choose to see the good in everything and in the world. I try to look for the good. Focusing on the negative only brings about more of it. So while I am focusing on the good, I look for what's right and try to bring more of it. I work with inner-city kids who have it really rough, and though some think they are losers because they are dropping out of school and getting pregnant, doing drugs, you name it, I say, they are human, they made mistakes, now we can't change what has happened, but we can hope for better. Now, what's right with this kid? They never get that. We search for the bad, we dwell on the bad. I believe that makes our world worse. So I say, let's start with what's right and go from there... |

I understand that. Trust me I do. But do you also understand that Bush had the facts in front of his face that this was going to happen months before? Because Bush was ignorant and thought they were just threats...millions of people died. I have a problem with the whole fact that we bombed Iraq, attacked people who didn't deserve to be attacked. We were suppose to be after the taliban...who was/is hiding in Afgahnistan. I'm thankful that we did take down Hussain, cause he tortured his people for his own pleasure. But I am not thankful, whatsoever, that hundreds of (dont know how many) civilians died just because we needed to retailiate. In their "bible"...I can't remember the name of it at the moment, it said that the Eagle will fly once the (i think it was snake...or scorpion) made a threat. We are the eagle. We did fly. But we didn't think. How many years have we been at war? How many of our men and women were killed? And all for what? For Bush's "Mass destruction weapons". For oil. For our country. So many excuses...when the real reason was...our country was hurting and we wanted another country to feel the pain as well. |

9=11 we all thought we were invincible.. and now that we are at war everyone wants to jsut stop the war and pretend it never happened.. well i have family over there just like everyone else.. my first love is in the airforce in iraq right now.. my couzin.. my uncle.. my family...my friends... and i agree with everyone of them... keep up the war on their soil.... so they stay the fick off of ours!!!!!! Do not think I was never affected by this war. My fiancee went over to Iraq and never came back. Two years ago. I have friends who I graduate with going over there for the second time. Think I'm happy about it? What Bush should've done was tighten security. He could've at least done that. Now American's can't even leave the country, or come into the country without a passport. American's can't even get a drivers license without 8 types of identification. All threats should be taken seriously. && because he didn't take them seriously, you're family, my family, your friends, my friends, are over there fighting a war. All cause of that stupid piece of paper. We should not be at war. |

There is nothing wrong with having different beliefs. The problem lies when others take those beliefs and convalute them into thier own purposes and try to make the others see it thier way. This why we have wars and this has been going on for several thousands of years.

call me crazy, but it seems like all this terrorist stuff is just all apart of the scare tactics used to keep us in fear of something we cannot control and think we need the governments protection from. they use it as a way to strip our rights away, slowly, one at a time...to have more control over us, and not these terrorist we've created by invading other countries, and killing soooo many innocent lives.
it's one hell of a mess, that much is for sure...and we're too far in to go back now it seems, we've done added way too mcuh fuel to the fire, so to speak. it was almost as if though thosei n powere allowed it al lto heppen for their own interests. i know it seems far-fetched, but that's how i see it. sorry to hear about your loss, samiislove. |
