what i meant was do you read the forum posts to get a feel for how a person is or do you just look at their picture and pray for the best?

I read what they're like. But mostly, I don't look around much anymore for "hookups". If it happens, it happens. Not gonna stress about it.

take me for example.. from my posts i get feed back that im sweet.. sensitive.. and a smart azz....
every bit of this is true to me in life.. but noone would ever know that by my pix or my profile...
so i like to get to know someone thruough the posts....

I think they do! For instance, something that consistently comes through in YOUR posts is that you are a peace maker, very kind hearted and not judgemental (unless the PO is an idiot, then you tell them).

Forum posts constitute about 95% of my accumulated idea of a person - since profiles don't usually say much here ("I'm a fun person who likes to have fun" really isn't much of a revelation!), and pics -- well, that's a crapshoot -- might not be them; might be them 15 years ago; maybe they're not actually a cat or a mermaid or a butterfly -- ??

I've gotten to where I don't even pay any attention to people who don't post -- they're all NO if they show up in MM picks, anyway -- and, without forum participation, I have no way of getting to know anything at all about them anyway....
