I just read through the thread in question..

This is what I saw:

A young lady who posed a hypothetical question.

A few folks take it literally. Then lambaste her for their perception... even though she made every attempt to clear it up for ya!

No doubt...but the irony is, that young lady should stay and a few older people might leave!

Now.. the feeding frenzy has moved off of her and focused on dad. WTF people? When did the contest to see exactly how low (class) we can go....start?

Folks, it's all been good. I explained to her that I was having a blast, but how this could go from one extreme to the other - she's 18, goes to school, works a job and has been with this, her first and only, USAF boyfriend for over a year and a half.

She was, laughingly, told the risk of a "rate me" and told it was one way to start making friends. She got her feelings slapped around, but she thoroughly enjoyed her time and is excited about being a part of this.

She and I appreciate a site where so many guys have the morals to NOT wish to date because she has a boyfriend. She appreciated that, but she's still 18 and rejection (of any type) can get to an 18 y/o.

When I posted the comment about her "attack" I wasn't even worried about her, but another 18 y/o kid who got into a similar JSH fight, got trounced, and didn't handle it so well. It was a racist fight and he was 18 going against men and women. We exchanged a coupla mails about it (and he was polite), then he deactivated. I like the youngsters to see how different opinions and values are presented.

This is a great site and dancinintherain will be back this afternoon. She and her sister are coming by for us all to take pix and have a late lunch somewhere. My oldest daughter will probably sign up and we'll see how she does.

Thanks to all for the commonly shared learning experience and for the moral fortitude (even if expressed harshly).

By the way: that little blonde fights like a man and she ain't scared.

Alone, do you have any qualms about your girls seeing what you write on here?

I wanted to write you back as I will be working tonight and all week.
I take ALL young sign ups as with a grain of salt to if there even 18 years old.
Alot have came on here and lied.
Alot have been hit on by pretitors.
There are children across the nation that are being taken out of homes some in the middle of the night.
BY Preditors who make it their LIFE'S quest to get them...
Or young girls who are lead to believe that THEY oue talking with some YOUNG HOT DUDE, so I try to call ALL SHOTS of ANY STRANGE NOTICE as whats her truth or whats their truth.
If I scare off a minor,,,COOL, if I scare ANYONE by "ASKING" for their "TRUTH" then still "COOL" because the TRUTH should NEVER make ANYONE "RUN" away from IT.
If they feel a need to run, then I FEEL THEY COULD HAVE BEEN MY CALL..
Having three grown kids now, and one being a police officer. I try to help and look after alot of peoples issues where I feel THEY might be hurt.
Now,,who the hell am I,,,,,nobody special.
JUST ONE PERSON WHO FEELS the need to look after this place and its people and my friends.
I have seen many pains here and who was behind them.
And I try to call NOTICE to anything I see thats weired to help others.
BUT THIS PLACE AND ME ARE REAL, not a playroom to just make fun of...and their are people behind each one of these screens, NOT machines..they ALL have real feelings..

I hope YOU and YOUR whole family come on here knowing THAT and KNOWING that I welcome ALL OF YOU!
I am NOT a worker for this site, Just a menber.
But I believe in ALL OF US to make this site, real and FUN..

I would SAY that this means ONLY that YOUR posts are EXTREMELY difficult to read in the FIRST place, without ALL the inappropriate ALL CAPS. That is TRUTH.

Good timing Mark.. Just a few seconds later and.... Anyway, I withhold the post that is currently held in my RAM...

the girl is 18. you speak of her as if she is a kid at age 12. she is an adult. you guys are like, why let your kid on here, sadly most of you that say that if she was sitting next to you at a club, would hit on her! so what's your point there? the post she made asking if someone would date her was risky. as most of the people on here dislike those threads, but are very popular with the younger crowd. she clearly stated she had a boyfriend and it was all in a matter of fun. she did not belittle anyone or was nasty to anyone and didnt deserve to be hasseled. it was a simple yes i would or no i would not answer. im sorry this happened and certainly hope that she stays with us and enjoys the fun. also, sometimes its hard to know the context of what someone says on here, you cant see jestures or facial jestures to see if they are teasing or what. things can come across one way when its meant another. i dont know that this was the case, never the less...my 2 cents
