I was given this idea and decided to run with it, because it is funny how when you are crazy in love, how it makes you forget all the other simple things in life.

Love Makes You Forget

When you find that special someone
And they send your mind a twirl,
There is no one else you know
That could just make your world.
When you fall deeply in love
So much that it hurts,
You tend to forget simple things
That come in little spurts.

The laundry winds up behind
The dog didn't get walked,
The house needs a good cleaning
And the bathtub needs caulked.
You talk for hours on end
On the telephone till dawn,
You wonder where the time went
Where has it all gone?

Your heart is ecstatic
Over the new love you found,
Nothing will keep you
From getting you down.
The excitement it brings
To the spirit within,
You're on your new quest
You're ready to begin.
