Ya know, I don't agree with all Mike said up there, but I have read his profile and I thought he was just trying to be funny, I thought it was funny anyway. flowerforyou flowerforyou

I'm 32 and know what I want. That doesn't mean that things can't change. However, I think we should all have some clue of the direction we want to take when going in to a relationship. I agree with your thinking of people being stuck in past relationships. Get over what ever you've been through, before you move on to future relationships. There's nothing like being the object of objection because of what someone else did. As for age, I tend to date guys older than me. 35 plus. But only because most of them know what its like to be a parent, most of the time the maturity is there, and they are more grounded in their life. But then again, I've been wrong before.

hey mike. its kind of sad to hear you say that the 20 yr olds
have their heads on straight.
I think what you are mistaking for "knowing what they want" is really just a willingness to put up with 'whatever is clever'.
and that's what most men like-a girl that is okay with whatever he gives her.
what happens to women in their 30s and 40s, is we have lived long enough, and had enough real world experience to learn that we don't have to settle. we finally have the confidence to really ask for what we want. we finally realize that what we thought was important when we were in our 20s was pretty superficial, and that life changes our priorities, and if we've got good sense, life changes our tolerances of certain behaviors.
sometimes people who say 'have an open mind' really mean that they want you to overlook obvious red flags and bad behavior.
whats ridiculous is the generation of 40 yr old men who believe that a 20something girl is really on their level.

Well Mike, I'm not looking for any "Prince". And I hate to say this, but I don't think men know what they want. And I can sy the exact same thing about men in general, that you said. glasses

true, but their bodies do, so why do older men think a woman in her twenties is interested anyway?laugh laugh

Well I'd blame superficial dim witted women in their 20s. :) What else is better than someone established, with money? (being a lil sarcastic here, but closer to the truth than I'd like).

Ok guys...My work is done. Most older women are jaded and have little sense of humor. Not all, But most. You can see it in thier comments...It's funny really. I know I've wasted enough time with them. I didn't even know how right I was until I posted this. Good luck gentlemen in your search. I know I'm done looking on here. I have learned one thing...women in thier forties are more likley to live alone.

My feelings exactly. I've always thought many women in their mid 30s to 40s carry ALOT of emotional baggage from their screwed up ex-relationships. They pick LOSERS and think most men are that way. I really like women in their 20s as well. They are quite refreshing!! Oh Baby!!

There are tons of guys out there that are exactly the same way.....I would say that for myself, I'm just more cautious now then I was in my twenties, I'm strong willed, painfully honest at times and don't care for games.....of course i've had emotional upsets with past relationships, who hasen't....I just try not to let it stand in my way

I read your profile, that's about what I'd expect from a man with absolutely no ambition that wants a WOMAN to take care of him. Grow up. Get a job. Quit drinking. Find a nice apartment, then maybe, just maybe, you might find a nice woman. Personally, I want more out of life than feeding someone like you a cold beer under a bridge while watching you pass out. Gotta go - my house, my job and my dog are waiting... Good luck. You're gonna need it.
