I hate IPODS. I spent several years walking around the classroom yanking
them out of kids' ears. It took me awhile to realize they weren't
wearing hearing aides.

Also, I am very sorry I didn't keep my record and 8-track tape
collection. I couldn't afford a receiver to handle all of my music
machines.

sushi if one of my kids was to come home and tell me that a teacher
physically yanked anything away from them especially somethin I bought,
there is going to be a big problem for that teacher. I know kids need
to pay attention and yes I have attitudes towards ALL school officials
at the moment. You'd have to know the whole story to know why.

Oh, stop it. We have to do as we are told or else we'd be working at
McDonalds. The music machines must be confiscated and turned over to
the ISD police dept. Then
they handle it. We did our job and are then off the hook. Now I don't
know what scools you're referring to, but rules are rules. If a parent
can't abide, then take your children out and home school them. You
gotta have served time to know what really goes on.

Ok Spay and others you win. As a parent, I'd first want to know what
parent would allow his kid to bring an IPOD, etc to school. Certainly
not to listen to it during math class? Teachers are really trying to do
some good, but it's really hard when their messaging across the
classroom, listening to music etc. Please you don'thave to call me
srtufu, or imoa or anything else. If I've hit a nerve, then good. The
US is heading for last in the literacy dept. Now one last thing.
Tonight, ask your kid to tell you what 7x9 is.. Then ask him to write a
short paragraph for you telling about his day. If he can do the multi
tables and you can actually UNDERSTAND his writing, then go ahead and
let him play his IPOD, chat on whatever else there is out there. If his
or her writing is a piece of shit. Then point made. I find it bad that
everyone elso here can voice his/her opinions using the best of the best
in curse words and insults. If you can respond intellengently, no matter
how much you disagree, then that would be a start. It's called debate.
And you really don't have to call me fukin'bitch. I can take a really
intelligent slap . Start the STMUB then I know what I'm dealing with and
go on.

Sushi is right it is hard enough to teach kids. They should know better
than to have an ipod in their ear at school! Maybe if mothers and
fathers taught them that at home and spent more time supporting the
teachers they wouldn't have to yank it out of their ear!
