It's definitely a game of luck, I don't think anyone ever truly finds there soulmate, and if they do congrats. I been looking for a long time.

I am not sure I believe in soul mates. This online looking is a first for me too, but it is interesting. Besides my college aga daughter and I are both trying it out because we r both single so it makes it a fun things to compare notes on.

I think it might have been fate that brought me to this site, and brought TheCaptain here and made him stay until we met. Some people may say it was luck but I didn't join to meet my soulmate and he was just looking for someone to talk to.

I think you (as in all of us) have a better chance at winning the lottery than actually finding someone online.

I think it's partly luck; I think there's a geographic component to it as well -- I have had no luck at all with locals here, although I hear from people in many other states (and some other countries) on a regular basis. I'm just not interested in LDRs, having had some BAD experiences with them.

I actually gave up on meeting anyone here months ago -- and then got back together with someone I have known for a long time, so the whole "success" issue here became irrelevant.

But then, I am also extremely selective, and I think that creates a circumstance which limited my options. I can honestly say that, outside of my gf (who is on the site now), I haven't run across anyone suitable for me. But that's not the fault of the site, or the people on it -- it's simply the result of my own specific criteria.

I think the odds of finding someone here, generally speaking, increase if you have a presence on the forums. Exposure helps.

I don't know about exposure on the forums, I have been on here a couple weeks and haven't really had anyone contact me outside of the forums, just some dude ripping me a new azzhole for busting on the Dallas Cowboys. And I still think they suck
