Wine List

White Wines

Chenin Blanc, The Veldt Range, South Africa, 2005
Really well balanced wine: the aromas are reminiscent of melon and honey with soft tropical fruit flavours dominating the palate and an elegant, refreshing acidity on the finish

Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Ema, Maipo Valley, Chile, 2005
A brilliantly clear wine, straw yellow in colour with perfumed aromas that are fruity, fresh and light. The apple and peach finish is long and pleasant with a hint of anise.

Chardonnay Red Earth, South Eastern Australia, 2004
A lovely bright Chardonnay. Fresh tropical fruits, honey and apricots. Crisp lemony acidity lingering on the palate. An easy all occasion wine that is unoaked to emphasise its pure fruit character.

Sauvignon Blanc, Lawsons Dry Hills Marlborough, New Zealand, 2004
This wine exhibits tropical and passion fruit aromas. Crisp citrus and gooseberry flavours are balanced with good palate weight and a clean fresh finish.

Petit Chablis, Louis Michel, France, 2003
Lovely cleanliness and purity of fruit with all the classic mineral style of a good Chablis and delicious flavours of green apples and lemons.

Semillon Chardonnay, Tin Hat, South Eastern Australia, 2003
A bouquet of fresh tropical fruit leads to a cascade of peach and exotic fruits on the palate with a delightful zesty freshness and crisp finish

Gavi La Zerba, Italy, 2005
This wine is lovely and pure with a perfumed nose of honeysuckle and pear. This reflects onto the palate and is balanced by some tropical fruit and lovely mineral fresh acidity.

Pouilly Fumé, Patrice Moreux, France, 2004
Wonderful concentration of fresh gooseberry and cut grass aromas with classic smokey, apple tart nose, nice full palate with good balance. A super food wine.

Montagny 1er Cru, Olivier Leflaive, Burgundy, France, 2004
This wine has a citric grapefruit quality. Weighty but with mineral touches and gently infused vanilla oak.

Chardonnay, Meerlust, Stellenbosch, South Africa, 2003
The oak is classically Meursault in style, but slightly fuller; the fuit is wonderfully rich, showing apple, honey, melon and pink grapefruit and the finish is fresh and pure.

Red Wines

Tempranillo, Quintana, Spain, 2004
Soft, chocolatey Tempranillo fruit rounded out and spiced up by a year in oak barrels. Mellow and medium weight

Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Ema, Chile, 2004
Ruby red with garnet hues. Aromas of deep red fruits. Excellent harmonious medium bodied red. Beautifully rich wine!

Merlot, Red Earth, South Eastern Australia, 2003
This firm, lush and generous Merlot is supported by a strong backbone of tannins. Fresh cherry and mulberry flavours linger over clove, cinnamon and chocolate aromas.

Pinotage, Martin Meinert, Devon Valley, South Africa, 2004
Deep purple in colour showing scents of mulberry, blackberry, and even cassis. The palate is full of pepper, spice, blackberry, more cassis and big, but ripe tannins. The finish is well-structured, with good length. Meaty - well made Pinotage!

Cabernet Shiraz, Tin Hat, South Eastern Australia, 2002
Sweet forest fruit notes of Shiraz combine with the cassis and currant of Cabernet. Has lovely balance and a long refined finish. Delicious!

Pinot Noir Francesca Bay, Marlborough, New Zealand, 2004
This wine has a vibrant cherry red colour and an amazing aroma of wild strawberries - the palate is all consuming, rich and velvety with sweet ripe red berry fruits bursting out.

Zinnia Zinfandel, California, 2003
A wonderful brooding, deep dark purple colour, an explosive aroma of wild blackberries and cherries complimented on the palate by a soft, velvety, distinguished sensation, a powerful wine yet still elegant and restrained.

Rioja Crianza, Bodegas Campillo, Spain, 2001
Deep, complex aromas with very developed hint of fruit, leather and vanilla. On the palate, it is powerful and full-bodied with a well-balanced tannic flavour on the finish.

Chateau Puygueraud, Cotes de Francs, Bordeaux, France, 2001
Wonderful soft, supple Merlot makes it feel silky smooth, the backbone of the Cabernet giving structure, tannin and ripe blackberry fruits. Supple and rounded with dark fruit character and a long smoky finish.

Crozes Hermitage "Domaine de Thalabert" Paul Jaboulet, Rhone, France, 2001
Rich and meaty on the palate with brambly fruit, spice and firm tannins.
