I know that I said that I'd be away for a while in my last post, but as life would have it, the things which I thought would take me some time to get through have come to light and I'm back once more.

My Spirit Be Known

Take me far far away,
Let me sleep in worlds unknown
For never am I so alone.
My heart speaks in voices
Soft and mild
And bids me to enter
Places where broken hearts hide.
Not for being broken
But to learn the ignorance
Which I have kept in mine heart,
Unknowing are those who hide
In the shadows of life
As I have.
The river of tears
Once my guide
Has gone away.
I thought only a shell
To remain,
But in ignorance
I am to blame.
To live and learn
To breathe and live
To live and die a thousand deaths
All mean the same.
To live is the secret of life
To love is the yearning of hearts
To give is the gift of love
To be a friend is the meaning of riches
Beyond our mere measures
And all these things bound together
Create and sustain life
Not just the heart
But they create who we are
And the adventures we shall have
With the battles we will fight.
Within each spirit
Contains a heart
And that heart speaks of whom we are.
So my friends adventure begins
Whether we wish it or not
For that is the way of life.
