I understand. You were not ready. I have seen some pretty sneaking recruiting techniques en DO NOT agree with that. You should report back to your commander en let him know what happened. Basic end would be a medical discharge most likely if you explained the situation. They would rather have you tell the truth en be discharged than get yourself killed in Afghanistan if you do not know what you are doing.

i tryed that way before i went awol or even thought of it i went to my first seargent with a 2 inch stack of papers that was my entire mental health history from 6 years old to the then present time he took them read them and told me they meant nothing. even though it expressedly says people with manic deppression(bi-polar disorder) are not allowed in the military i tryed this at my unit and in basic both brushed me aside i also talked to the chaplain at fort bragg when i was there

I was teaching at a univerisity en went down to the library where I found a recruiter lying his fool pants off about what this kid was going to get if he quit school now en went into svc...en this was what tech school was like etc....the recruiter was about to screw this kids life up with a huge lie.
After he left I went to the kid en told him NOT to quit college...he was in his JR year en that half the bull he was being told was really bull. I have a problem with them going after the young kids that either are not ready or have a better life in the direction they are in. Now if one CHOOSES to sign up en all is kosher en deserts...then yeah. I feel a court martial coming on.
