You never know who you might meet on here and where your friendship might go. This is not in anyway to judge anyway. it's how I see things at times... There is one thing that bothers me, is when some people come to any site and only been on the site for maybe a couple weeks or even a couple months, they say to themselves, i'm not finding what i'm looking for so they quit.

Then it comes to mind like I said to someone that I sent a email to. What about friends? shouldn't that be more of what we should be looking for first then a relatioinship. People that come on here and don't give themselves a chance can say a lot about a person. So if your new to this site and wonder if your going to find someone or not. Don't base the whole site or the people on here because of your past experence because there is so much more to a lot of people on this site then just looking for a relationship.

you're absolutely right...i think people looking that hard or feel so incomplete w/out a mate will never find one or be happy.
i cannot live w/out my real life or cyberfriends...but i'm fine not having a b/f, husband, sig other...i like dating when i have a minute to spend w/someone and i'm not going w/out s.e.x. no one should ever settle just to be a "couple"...i see so many unhappy couples and i just don't get it...i want to be happy, not miserable...you hit it on the head shadow, so i don't know why i felt compelled to write this book

It's just sad to see in the year that I been here, seeing people give up and not having the chance to know them. Not that i'm saying I talk to everyone on a personal level but I have met so real people on this site and if it wasn't for them and me giving this site a chance. I wouldn't be here. Yes it was a long time before I met the women I'm with now and I went through my ups and downs as my friends know but I'm still here.

One thing I want to say to anyone that is new. I don't give a peep what site you go to or how many sites you go to. you always bring yourself and there will always be bad apple's but it's up to you what your going to do but giving up, things will never change and you will always find yourself in the same spot as you were before.

Truth of the matter is, when first corresponding with someone, especially if there is distance involved... the only thing one can really do is develop a freindship, until such time as they can take the connection out into the real world.

Sometimes the most amazing people are right there in front of you, and their views, their sharing of ideas, are all a part of who they are.

Getting to know someone, whether a new online friend, or a potential partner is all part of the fun, and we do need to be less judgemental.

Thank you LAMom I always have had oppen hands as you put it. I never had turn anyone away that ask for my help or just wanted to chat. having an opppen mind to life and what it might bring me has been hard but well worth it.
