open it in paint and then save it as a .bmp file

hmmmmm....thats weird...it should be able to...my paint opens up my jpeg, gif, and jpg files just fine...I use the paint to shrink it down if I want to share with someone (I have dial up, sending smaller photos is easier)....hmmmm....the only thing I can say is try to open it up and save as .bmp.....hmmmmm sorry that wasn't much help...since the other way has worked for me I have forgotten how I use to do it...

There is a little program called "Graphics Workshop". I have used it for many years. It is GREAT for picture format conversion and does like 30+ file types.

I highly recommend this program for ease of use and tons of conversion options for picture files.

Hope this helps! bigsmile
