Toast, what a great way to start the day. Such a simple pleasure. I usually have rye toast when I go out to eat breakfast. It's gotta have lot's of butter. I also like the little jelly packages that come with it. Mixed fruit is an all time favorite but grape and strawberry are great too.

I often wonder who came up with such a glorious idea. It must have been something that was passed down from God himself. Who else could have made such a perfect side dish to go with our breakfast?

It's breakfast time for me. I'm taking my kid's out to the local diner and share with them all the greatness of toast. I'm sure they will be just thrilled. So I must go now, get the kids out of bed and inform them of our journey to get some toast. I just can't wait to see thier smiling faces when they recieve the news.

Have a great breakfast everyone!

Can someone please tell me, don't people feed themselves in the US?

I am so gobsmacked, there is such a vast difference between where I live, and where others live.

To me, toast is the bread you whack in the toaster while the kettle boils for morning coffee, up it pops, brown and crunchy, slap a bit of butter on, a splash of jam, and bingo! Instant breakfast, and it doesn't care if your hair is sticking up and you have your pj's on.

I just don't get how people, who seem to be stretched for money, can even consider BUYING toast...or any meal for that matter...

Do your houses have kitchens? huh

Jess, of course we have kitchens. It just takes so long to cut the wood and get the stove started.laugh
