Looking for ppl to join in walking around the city of Ottawa, On Canada or the trails. Maybe a bite to eat afterwards.

I was in Ottawa recently at Indigo and saw a book on local trails. I’d be interested in checking some of those out if you’re still interested

I honestly just don’t like to hike alone. Mostly due to my fear of getting lost

Right right .... Using technology is a better way to walk and pretty much safe , especially on a hike of the beaten track .... enjoy .... if you dare

I’ll just stick to the city streets until I find someone with similar interests. Sounds like you’ve never been hiking so you have no clue how easy it can be to miss a marker

Ha ha ... guess you missed the part where I said using technology on a hike is way better and safer ...even Siri can tell you where you are , on any given hike or trail ! You should try it ....

You do realize that cellphone towers don’t extend everywhere, right? And that although accuracy in a city can be a meter, in the mountains it has given me 500m accuracy. Don't talk the talk unless you’ve walked the walk.

Unfortunately I have walked the walk on the Bruce trails in Ontario , and I have Rogers as my cell phone service provider ... as you are aware next to Bell , Rogers does provide fast and excellent coverage ....

One trail doesn’t make you an expert on reception on trails. Just narrow minded

And anyway, the Bruce trail doesn’t interest me. It sounds like it would be packed with tourists

Never said I was an expert , and never said I walked all the 500 odd mile Bruce trail .... but I hiked on it enough to know , it ain't crowded with tourists and I know cell service is excellent ... anyhow ... how are the trails in your area ???
