(((Hugs to you all)))
Yes GOD never gives us more than we can handle... Must be something really big HE is preparing me for... I could deffinately use all the hugs I can get! There are some really great people in here to let us vent to them! On the lighter side: Now I am over here laughing because- I just got a whole bunch of veiws on my profile? Wow- I did'nt know it took being homeless, broke, down and out, and feeling sorry for myself to get noticed??? (Joking) |

(((((Teddy))))) I used to manage some low income apartments and we had many tenants who paid $0 rent. We even cut them a monthly check to help w/ their power. Please look into something like that!

My heart goes out to you, big time!! This past year was certainly one of trials and tribulations for me, and although it's not quite as severe as what you're dealing with, it's real bad, too. Anyway, I would suggest trying churches, first and foremost. Many times they can help. Next, get rid of the negative people in your life that refuse to help you. They could be preventing you from something really good happening.

You're not feeling sorry for yourself...you're a struggling mother and we have to fight just to try to even get a minimum wage job to support our children, which is absolutely ridiculous. Sometimes if we can shake up our lives, it can improve it. This may include getting rid of the bad people in our lives or just simply learning to not be so hard on ourselves.

Another thought: get a contingency based lawyer to fight for your social security. (Which means they don't get any money unless they get the social security for you.) They do exist, and you may have to do some digging and research, but it could be well worth it in the long run.

Sorry to hear about your predicament. I'm not in a very good position myself. I live in a camper in someone's driveway with no water and the house is often locked so I can't even get in to use the bathroom much less take a shower when I need to.
I also have pets and to be frank, I'd live under a bridge somewhere before giving them up. Mostly because they will not accept anyone else as they are bonded to me and if you know anything about wolves or wolf hybrids you understand thatyou can't just give them away. Mostly I just wanted to let you know you are not alone in needing housing and financial help. My unemployment benefit claims aren't even being processed probably because they recently moved the local office to a location that is out of my reach now and I just happened to try to reopen my claim they day they moved. All we can do is just hang in there and hold onto the hope that something will break our way in time. Heck of a way to introduce myself to the forum... but you need to know you aren't alone. |

(((Oshana))) Welcome Dear!
I hear you on the no water business. When staying in the garage- I often had to wait to use the bathroom too and very rarely got to take a shower back then. There are alot of people out there in these situations. The sad thing is that help is really hard to get sometimes. I am glad you have a trailer to stay in! Oh- you really understand about the animals! My prayers are going out for you too and hope for your situation to get better... Thankyou! |

What I find sad and pathetic is why in a country as rich in resources and opportunities there are SO many of us living life this way, or one pay check away from doing so??!!
The system is seriously broke and is in dire need of some mending. Life should not be made up of endless days of just trying to survive it. |

I wish I could help you!!! I have a spare room and can have pets but I also live in the wrong country and the cost of vets checks and plane rides etc..... |

Thank you and you're welcome.
It wouldn't be so bad if it werent' for the fact that I've been in this 24' camper for over a year and half of it is being used for storage so there is really no place for me to put my clothes much less anything else. Propane will run out soon so I will be out of heat too. So I agree with what lilbug said wholeheartedly. I'm scared to seek help because if I do and my living conditions are found out then it's not just me that stands to lose everything, the homeowner does too. I don't want that on my conscience. A case of damned if I do and damned if I don't. People just are not as generous, kind and giving as they were when we were growing up. Most people have gotten, for lack of a better word, greedy over the years due to fear of what has happened to us happening to them. Either way, someone suffers. Teddy, of course I understand about your animals. Not only can I not part with mine, I happen to be the kind of person that prefers animals to people. Always have and always will. People can either take me as I am or... not. I am who I am and what I am and I walk my path alone. No one can walk it for me. |

The system is seriously broke and is in dire need of some mending. Life should not be made up of endless days of just trying to survive it. I could not agree with you more! Its like an invisible probblem and keeps not being seen. Middle class is more- like the low income bracket now too. People have to choose to eat or get their medicines. We are losing jobs all over. Security in life we once had is so shakey- no one is safe anymore financially... The list gos on and on... Something is seriousely broken... |

I would'nt be able to stay here- even if I was'nt staying in the basement because of the lease. I have been doing some research on the computor and hope to find some paths to take to get some help. teddy... sorry to hear all that.. was there myself i had a last resort and was able to keep my dog... however it took my lifetime savings to do it..... i struggle too with 9 hours a week of work, no ins and my health isnt so great either.... i know that when u go to stay with someone if u are there longer than 2 weeks u must be put on the rental contract.... for most places around here.. cause after 2 weeks is no longer considered a visit..... then u have to go through the process of background checks etc....... if they allow pets there maybe a pet fee would work? if they dont allow pets on rental contract nothing u can do.... and sometimes pet fees are expensive...... hope u dont have to get rid your pets..... but remember u gotta take care of u first ....... wish u the best of luck.. and <hugs>
