my cookie spread way to often any tips?

tonites round was the orginal Toll House choc.chip cookie and i added oatmeal and a packet of carmel. the oatmeal was to help absorb the liquid in the cookie mix and the carmel added a dash of flavor.i try something different almost every time i make a recipe.

umm they should spread ever time.........

if you mean too much spreading and making the cookie thin, too much oil. try swapping some of the oil out for apple sauce or just leaving it out all together.

your butter or margarine is too soft, probably, when you start, that's why they're spreading so much.flowerforyou

MAKE SURE OVEN IS PRE-HEATED AND CHILL DOUGH BEFORE USING, ABOUT AN HOUR. COOL PAN BETWEEN BATCHES.
