Originally denoting Saturday, the seventh day of the week, or, more
precisely, the time period from Friday sunset to Saturday nightfall, the
term "sabbath" can now mean one of several things, depending on the
context and the speaker:

Saturday, as originally, in reference to Jewish or historical
observance;
Saturday, the day that Jesus and his disciples observed;
Saturday, as above, as a day of observance for some Christian groups;
Sunday, as the day of observance for Roman Catholics and other Christian
groups;

I always assumed it was Sunday.

Silly me I guess.

It seems I always do nothing on saturday. Sunday has always been the day
I clean up around this place, and then go for a ride. Well I do eat and
chat online on saturday. I mean socializing is good for relaxing right?

Again Rambill, "the book"? There are many. Just so happens that you read
the bible. It is a book amongst many. There again Sabbath is defined
differently depending on the faith you are discussing. You have a good
sabbath though. I mean that in a very positive manner. As late as this
is I should say I hope you had a good one and I always hope they are
good whatever belief you go by.

.... Actually in jesus's time the day before the sabbath had a name too,
something like preparation day i think it was. One would cook a stew and
do all the work nessassary to prepare for the sabbath. The purpose of
course was to not have any work to do during the big day.....

Arrogance gets you no-where Rambill. I am glad you have your sabbath but
on the "real Lords" day? Mine is as real to me as yours is to you. Don't
be a pompas ass about it. We have sabbaths as well but they are
pronounces sabats. To each their own.

Im just stating bible truths. whether you agree with me or not is no
concern of mine. Get of your high horse for once and practice what you
preach. .

Bible teachings are quite clear about the saturday sabbath. I feel
that if the organised churches cant even get that right then how can i
take them seriously??? IM BEYOND BLIND OBEDIANCE TO CHURCH TEACHINGS.
I have put my life, my job, and my property on the line for my beliefs
many times. I AM NO SUNDAY MORNING CHRISTIAN. This is common in other
countrys but here in the colonies, it seems to me that it is just a
hobby for most. I take my faith very seriously. I have looked at this
thing from all angles, very objectivly i think. You dont have to agree
with me but you should respect my beliefs as I RESPECT YOURS. QUIT
BADGERING ME like im a little kid who doesent have a clue or get off my
thread.
