in my view, only people who tend to show conditional love can change the love, unlove and even hate. ive experienced conditional love in forceful ways..its like only if i do things which people love, only if i change myself in ways that makes people accept me, only if i talk in ways that makes people love me, love will be given back to me.. ideally conditional love is not love but just a feed to the ego to dominate and control a person. this conditional love keeps changing until it goes worst to even kill a person's true love by trying torturous ways. I've seen a real example of a person who died because of experiencing conditional love..
