I think Valentines day is worse...Just because everyone goes around bragging about how cute their flowers are or how romantic their partner is.

Valentine's day is just a scam for card, flower, and chocolate companies. New years actually means something.

Being 'alone' is a state of mind. Being single doesn't mean you're alone you still have your family, friends, co-workers, people you go to school with(if you're in school), and many other people you see.

I have spent alot of christmas'and new years alone and you do kind of get used to it. Wonder what I did to not get the big house the nice car the kids coming home...but it is alot less work. I am pretty happy and will tuck in with my pooch at my feet tonite. Its all what you make of it and I try to make it good. Happy New Year.

if you consider single alone then i've been alone forever. nothing wrong with that though at least in my book i'd rather be alone then be unhappy with someone you don't like.
