curious why a different word was not used to express one's emotional feelings for anther. Was married 30 years and heard "I love you" every day as Im sure we all have.In reality she did not and was unfaithful for several years (I had to ask her to leave)sad to say. after a few months of thinking, ... she also loved her car, loved her dog ,loved that dress..... You get the point and I'm sure she told him she loved him the same day she had said it to me. A relationship should not be like finding a new job. Meaning find one before you quit one. If you truly love someone please have the decency to let them know then go find the next one you may love. Both parties will benefit from the honesty. In short don't love your man/woman the same as a pair of shoes.

We've watered down language so much over time most superlatives have been rendered useless. Nobodies had a cup of coffee that was "amazing". Someone that said something that made you chuckle wasn't t "hilarious". We use big words to describe ordinary things way to much in today's society. Sorry, was that offtopic ?

There are different kinds of love (4). I love my job. It's definitely not the same kind of love I have for my child. It will also be different with a partner.

We all don't say, "I love you" every day either. I'm not even sure what's the reasoning behind that. But when my ex annoyed me, I definitely didn't say it. He also didn't have any qualms about walking out the door without saying it when we argued. Didn't mean we didn't love each other....just means it would be pointless saying it at that time.

However, I do get your point and agree that having a conversation and breaking it off, is best before you find someone else.

Devo is absolutely correct, a lot of us do exaggerate. I'm never calling a cup of coffee amazing thoughlaugh
