Is it common for women to want to go to google hangouts to chat further or is this a scam?

Just block and report them , it’s mostly scam people . There is no need to chat on another platform when meeting someone as you can do that here. And if they ask you to move to another etc platform and something happens then that’s beyond Mingle2 control . I would definitely think that as a red flag when people ask to go to another platform like hangouts, WhatsApp etc . Many people go off here to another platform then come back moaning here that They have been scammed , well more fool them! Never give out your intrinsic information , never sen money .

The same happens with men on this and other sites. I have always viewed it as a red flag to ... just say no! Most likely, the platform we are using has a mechanism for communication until such a time as you feel comfortable or safe enough to exchange numbers. At least, that's how I see it!

I have asked for VIDEO chats on Hangouts many times as a first step, but never once I have seen a live face. Sometimes an animated voiceless recorded video, or a still image has been displayed!

You are following your gut instinct, which is always good. Messaging is 100% free on Mingle, and those who use the App, can even send pictures.
