well that seems to be the problem. Everyone lives a long ways away. And they all say...if we lived closer...Yeah well, Im used to it. At least Im making new friends. I feel like I have an extended family

And trust me, I've MOVED long distance to be with someone before. The only real problem is I can't live in the US. Not because I'm a criminal or nothing, just because I don't qualify for a Visa. I tried when I was in Minnesota before but without her help I wasn't able to stay.
Moving is sooo not an issue for me. Done it so many times in the past(not for women necessarily) but just for a change of surroundings.

I dont understand about qualifying for visa & stuff. It makes no sense that Canada Is like a foreign country.

No kidding eh? When we have a Conservative Prime Minister, we might as well be a part of the US. As for a Visa, you'd think they'd be HAPPY to have some educated immigrant looking for work

The REALLy sad thing was when I was in Minnesota I thought I'd go give blood at the Red Cross for the soldiers that were fighting in Iraq. I wasn't allowed because I don't have an SSN.
When I enquired as to WHY I would need one to donate blood, they told me it's cuz they pay you for it. So I even told them don't pay me, I'll do it for free like we do in Canada. Still wasn't allowed. Wtf???

No, we have SIN's ..Social Insurance Number
same number of numbers on em as the SSN. I thot of just using my SIN and hoping no one catches on but man if you get caught, the migra aren't too friendly about it and I really like visiting the States lol.

And I think blood donations depend on the state. I grew up across the river from Detroit and I remember hearing that Michigans pay for blood as well.

strange Well Missouri pays for plasma, but not blood donation.
