When you don't drink alcohol, there seems to be a social impediment to meeting others. In my case, I don't smoke and never have, but in American culture, many activities revolve around drinking. This makes meeting ladies difficult at times.
Anyone else encounter this phenomenon? |

I agree...its hard to meet people when you don't hang out in bars or clubs...

I used to go to the bars alot, but I rarely drink now, so yes it is harder/different to meet someone. I think the bars is where I was accustomed to meeting women, and didnt do alot of the other things that single women are involved with..ie, the gym, etc.

I don't smoke either or drink and I don't go to bars much less get out that much all but going to work and back home and when ever I can going to hang out with friends every now and again.

Start visiting other churches. It works for the non smoker, non drinkers. I am not a drunk but enjoy my spirits(no beer) and every once in a while a cigar. To me I am not a drinker and I do not smoke but other see it different. |

go to the library unless you don't read neither
 or a museum or a civic meeting forbid ya ever go to the city council meeting or county commissioners meeting

that is part of the reason i came on this site. i dont drink or party and seems that if you dont, you dont meet anyone. ive made some awesome friends here so i have absolutely no regret! this site rocks, its got the best group of people ever.

hmm well I may post in the bar thread(Thumpers) every now and then and I was a staple in Z's pub..but that doesn't mean I drink..I don't in fact drink, I'm clean and sober ..
