Isn't there a way to know before and not after when you spend 20 minutes writing a post complete with references, etc. that the thread has been locked.
You click on "post" and your work vanishes and THEN you find out?

It takes less than a second to lock a thread and minutes to compose a reply.
Bad timing I guess and Sod’s law. What I would have done was use the back button to retrieve my post, copy it, open the thread you were directed to then paste your text into that thread. |
